Learn ten pathways to improving intelligibility in children with severe expressive speech disorders including apraxia and dysarthria.
seminar details
This seminar, recorded in 2007, presents an effective plan for developing intelligibility in children with apraxia, dysarthria and other forms of severe expressive speech disorders including severe phonological disorders. Most children with severe expressive speech disorders don't respond well to traditional articulation and phonological therapy.
The focus of this seminar is on practical, highly effective therapy techniques to develop consonants, vowels and intelligible speech through the facilitation of specific respiratory, phonatory, resonatory, and articulatory skills. This is a practical seminar which will have immediate impact on your work with children who demonstrate severe speech delay and disorder. Numerous therapy and classroom samples are presented throughout the lecture.
This seminar will provide you with effective ways to help even your most difficult speech students. You will leave with a wealth of ideas for day-to-day therapy, for home practice and for working with classroom teachers and other team members in coordinated treatment.
